Only 2% of companies founded by women get venture backing, though 40% of companies were founded by women, and they generate 26% greater return than those founded by men. How Women Invest (HWI) is deeply rooted in its sister organization, How Women Lead, and the mission to disrupt the antiquated and unequal landscape impacting women. Living by the CREDO established in the How Women Lead (HWL) community, How Women Invest is dedicated to shifting the venture capital landscape by supporting women-led companies, with a focus on women of color.

    Vital Score's mobile engagement platform let patients assess their health, identify a health goal, and self refer to services matched to their goal in less than 90 seconds. Vital Score enabled deeper and more productive patient-provider conversations when patients are most receptive, at the point of care. Vital Score improved outcomes and generated revenue for provider networks through referrals to wellness and ancillary programs. Deployment in several health systems showed increased referrals to underutilized services and dramatically more patient engagement in weight loss, smoking cessation, and better self-care goals.

    Worked with innovative start-ups, healthcare companies and non profits to develop new business lines including product, strategy, market and sales support with an emphasis on scaling to profitability. Clients included Stanford Healthcare (Executive Medicine, International Medicine and Guest Services), JumpstartMD (Corporate F500- participated as part of the Executive Team), TedMed, Full Circle Fund, Menlo College, Health Tech International, and others.

    1999 - 2002

    After our IPO of the Corporate Executive Board, I moved over to the Advisory Board Company and focused on our international hospitals. I collaborated with our leadership to refine and sell our offerings internationally to our C level members for all international markets which was called the Council of International Hospitals. During my tenure we had almost 100% retention of existing customers and doubled the LOB.
