Group Project: Cramify.net Waking up the morning of our mock pitch, an epiphany hit that would kill two birds with one stone. A project that would both be fun and rewarding. Based off the idea of Kahoot, a live game where players could specifically study software developer topics. However, it would be better, the game would be able to be used anywhere and not just in a group environment. The application revolves around manipulating data from front to back and using Socket.io as the heart of the game engine. Throughout the project, the group all worked together on most components. The main components I was leading and spending a majority of the time on were the logic behind the game and everything involving the questions (CRUD). Socket.io for our live function was also a large part of the time spent on this application. Learning how the data moved between components was one of the most fun I’ve had building an application. Also, to connect with those around them who share the same goals. Being accountable is tough enough alone. So why not have a little help? The skillshare portion of TeamLyfe connects you with those willing to share a skill with you. Using Socket.io, you can live chat with the other Lyfers and plan a time to learn in person. There is also a recommendation engine based off of Brain.js. It can take in any short sentence of what you'd like to learn, and understand whether you are focused on building your Brain or Body.
