After Microsoft acquired HockeyApp, I became the manager for the team of program managers. Our product portfolio included HockeyApp, Visual Studio App Center (the next generation of HockeyApp), Xamarin Test Cloud, CodePush, and Azure Notification Hubs. My team defined the vision and features for each product, works for design and development teams on the implementation, and engages with customers to create industry-leading DevOps solutions.
Co-Founder & CEO

HockeyApp is the best way to collect live crash reports, get feedback from your users, distribute your betas, recruit new testers, and analyze your test coverage. Launched in 2011, HockeyApp was one of the first DevOps solutions for Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows developers, and made mobile developers around the world more productive. I co-founded HockeyApp together with Andreas Linde, Stefan Haubold, and Michael Simmons, and led the company as the CEO until the acquisition through Microsoft in December 2014.

Driven by customer obsession, great design, and high quality, we created mobile apps for Viacom International Media Networks Germany, Zattoo Inc, Dekra Automobil GmbH, and for YOC AG. Reference apps include the South Park app for iOS and Android, Zattoo for Android, or the original version of the Postbank app. As part of the HockeyApp acquisition, the Codenauts team joined Microsoft and now works on SDKs for HockeyApp and Visual Studio Mobile Center.
Freelance Software Developer
2009 - 2010
I worked on GameOne, ClubNick, and other MTV properties, mostly as a backend developer using Ruby on Rails and JavaScript.
Project Manager
2007 - 2008
I managed the team of software developers for Side View Assist, the first ever ultrasonic-based system for monitoring the blind spot of cars and trucks.
Systems Engineer
2002 - 2006
I designed and implemented control systems for various advanced driver assistance systems like Brake Assist Plus, Pre-Safe Break, and Active Parking Assist. Brake Assist Plus and Pre-Safe Break were marquee features of the 2005 S-Class (W221) and 2006 CL-Class (C216).

In my first company, we developed insurance software for Windows helping insurance agents to calculate prices for various insurance products. We sold our software to more than 1,500 insurance agents in Germany and later also offered web hosting and online insurance calculation.
