    VentureSouth is an early-stage venture firm that develops and manages angel investment groups and funds throughout the Southeast. Since its inception with the Upstate Carolina Angel Network (UCAN) in 2008, the organization has grown to include more than 300 investors across a dozen angel groups and funds, making it one of the largest angel investment organizations in the U.S.

    Managed all corporate sales and marketing activities for Cebridge Connections, a St. Louis-based cable television and high speed Internet company providing services to approximately 350,000 customers in suburban, small town, and rural communities across nine Midwestern states. Developed product and revenue growth strategies as well as targeted customer acquisition and retention programs. Supported new product launches and developed new sales channels. Directed efforts of field marketing organization. Oversaw company rebranding and name change initatives.

  • Division Vice President of Marketing and Programming

    1995 - 2003

    Provided strategic direction and support for sales, marketing and programming activities for Charter's Eastern Division, which spanned 20 states and 2.8 million customers. Developed and implemented residential business growth strategies and programs througha multitude of acquisition and retention tactics including direct mail, television, radio, outdoor, direct sales, telemarketing, voice broadcast messaging, public relations, and consumer website. Managed staff and field marketing organizations. Developed and executed numerous segmentation strategies including an emphasis on Hispanic marketing. Managed vendor relationships, co-op funding, expense reduction initatives, and budgeting and projection process. Organized annual division marketing conference.
