Responsible for all investment management, wealth planning, and private banking services for individuals, families, endowments, and foundations in the Eastern half of the United States (approximately 60% of the company’s business) • Doubled both revenues and profits in five years – the highest margin and growth rate in all of Wealth Management. • Turned around business that generated only $15 million in sales at a 10% margin. Result was a much stronger $40 million business with a healthy 36% margin. • Improved customer satisfaction ratings to 95% - the highest ever recorded at BNY Mellon. • Led several strategic initiatives over these years to improve local and global operating performance. • Implemented significant strengthening of the senior leadership team via intensive leadership, coaching, performance management, and recruiting/development.

Responsible for operations, tax, technology, account services, revenue accounting, and real estate for the company’s wealth management services. Directed all client-related services and sales for charitable giving, national custody and wealth management businesses. Led 400 people. Reported to CEO. • Led the integration of the two separate wealth management businesses when Bank of New York and Mellon merged in 2007. Successfully resolved the difficult integration of redundant technology systems, two very different cultures, and two different pricing structures. • Launched growth initiatives in the Charitable Giving space and in Bank Custody that led to revenue growth and margin expansion • Successfully led and negotiated the working framework for internal pricing between intra-company subsidiaries as well as with external third parties. • Completed several large expense reduction initiatives that resulted in a 20% reduction in the overall run rate of operating expenses.

• Launched first external public and private access websites for Wealth Management. • Implemented first Customer Relationship Management system at Wealth Management • Negotiated several landmark contracts with key service providers that reduced operating expenses and capital investments significantly and are in place today, almost 12 years later. • Swung IT investment pendulum from 80% maintenance and only 20% new development to 50/50 in just three years. • Deployed several sales channel development technologies for Dreyfus. • Managed divestment of Mellon Retail Banking to Citizen’s Bank in 2002/2003- a complete restaging of resources and a relaunch of Private Banking for Wealth Management from scratch.

Recruited by founder to launch this start-up company that delivered full-blown performance reporting and statement platform for wealth management customers. Net Asset’s developed technology became the underlying framework for BNY Mellon’s brokerage platform. • Hired 30 people in 6 months and built out private label product for implementation at large financial organizations from blank sheet of paper. • Negotiated several large relationships with potential customers and external providers (data aggregation, financial benchmarks/data, telecom) • Prepared and executed company sale transaction when funding environment dried up (late 2001). Company was sold to Credit Suisse/Pershing in 2002.
Senior Vice President-Technology
1995 - 2001
Promoted three times in five years. Youngest managing director candidate at company. Eventually second in command to CIO directly leading almost 1000 staff members. Led all IT development efforts. • Launched first external website and call center implementation for this industry leading retirement provider and staged company for robust growth of its mutual fund business from $65 billion to $200 billion. • Implemented an upgraded transfer agency platform and a new trading accounting platform for fixed income and equity. • Implemented first email system at T Rowe Price.
