    I joined Facebook as the first VP of sales in early 2005. I was the 7th employee, hired the initial sales team, developed and managed the sales strategy, created sales/marketing materials, sourced/implemented necessary sales support systems. I led the sales team, and together we successfully cultivated Facebook's earliest relationships with Fortune 500 advertising partners. My full-time tenure at FB wasn't long; however, it was meaningful and life-changing in many ways. I'm proud to have been part of the FB story and grateful for the many lessons I learned..including the unexpected lesson of how difficult it can be for women to manage their career during the transition to motherhood.

    2001 - 2005

    Developed and managed all media sales efforts for Y2M. Y2M owned the College Publisher Network, an online publishing platform widely used by colleges/universities. When sold out of inventory on the College Publisher Network in 2004, we decided to risk placing our (fortune 500) client on a brand new website at Harvard: TheFacebook.com. Y2M exclusively developed and sold Facebook's online advertising campaigns through February 2005. Y2M brought initial brands (MasterCard, Apple, Paramount Pictures) and thoughtfully created campaigns that worked for both TheFaecbook and advertising partners during the earliest days of social media.
