  • Founder Fellow

    2022 - 2023

*South Park Commons is one of the most talent-dense communities of 750+ AI researchers, engineers, designers, and product managers in the world. Founder Fellows represent a highly selective cohort within this community that is offered $400k pre-idea to explore and build AI applications. My team was among the top .01% of applicants to be selected. *Researched and conceived of a number of AI applications and experiments. Systematically iterated through them (see appended examples) from hypothesis to production and post-release. Example initiatives included Civil-GPT (Code Lookup AI Assistant for Builders), Foundation AI (AI Agents for Energy Operators), Rebase (Modern VMS), a tech-powered group purchasing organization for solar EPCs, and an API-powered embedded insurance product. *Researched markets, designed, and build full-stack MVP products leveraging LLMs such as OpenAI's GPT-4 and Anthropic's Claude. Built scalable data processing pipelines for extracting and transforming data from unstructured sources for use in LLM applications with vector databases. Tech stack included NextJS, Python servers (FastAPI + Flask), Celery for background job processing, Pinecone, Postgres, MySQL, and various AWS and GCP cloud services.

  • Co-Founder & CTO

    2022 - 2023

Foundation AI leveraged generative AI and large language models to help energy operators increase the production and value of their assets. We did this by ingesting public and private structured and unstructured data and then generating well-site improvement plans specific to each geography. As the Co-Founder & CTO I was responsible for all engineering duties. I leveraged LLMs from OpenAI and Anthropic to perform complex RAG queries on large amounts of legacy documents across multiple file types including Word documents, Powerpoint, Excel, CSV, digital PDFs, and scanned PDFs. I created a scalable document processing pipeline to perform OCR, text extraction, table extraction and conversion to markdown, document chunking, embedding generation, and saving data to Postgres, S3, and Pinecone (vector database) using Celery workers. The backend was written in Python using FastAPI and the front end was built on Next.js with Typescript.
