innogy Ventures is the new venture capital arm of innogy SE – one of the largest utility companies in Europe. As a truly international player our investment focus is on digitally driven European (incl. Israel) and US companies offering products and services having successfully passed the proof of concept phase and yielding first turnovers with the aim to scale their current business activities (typically Series A or B rounds). We are a real VC, backed by a large corporate. Our primary focus is capital gain. Yet besides the pure financial contribution, every single venture is supported by a hands-on attitude, deep market understanding and business development assistance. Additionally, where possible we create value through enabling cooperation or co-development with business units of innogy Group. Our VC-team consists of a unique blend of proven energy market experts, successful serial entrepreneurs and VC professionals, which are fully dedicated to making our ventures successful. Ventures, in which we invest, are driven by disrupting solutions in areas such as Big data / Data analytics, IoT, Blockchain and Gamification - ideally operating in these fields: · Smart & Connectivity: e.g. Mobility, Smart City / Urban Solutions, Privacy & Security and Smart Home · New Energy: e.g. Smart Grids & Metering, Decentralized Energy Markets & Platforms, Decentralized & Renewable Energy and Energy Storage & Efficiency · Modern Retailing: e.g. Customer Engagement, Online Marketing, Marketplaces and Lead Generation
