GM Kanvas Labs
2015 - 2017
Led the Kanvas brand after our acquisition by Aol. During my time at Aol, we tripled the team, grew the user base 25x, acquired an animation technology startup and transitioned the business to a developer platform. The platform now offers developers the most advanced camera on the market with rich media editing, special effects, AI art (neural style transfer), live video steaming with animations, augmented reality face tracking and much more as a leading brand in the Aol portfolio serving tens of millions of monthly active users.
Co-Founder and CEO
2013 - 2015
Co-Founded Kanvas with my trusted partners as a network for creative self expression. Raised seed round from KEC Ventures, Scout Ventures and more. I led all aspects of the product and business from our institutional seed round through the successful acquisition by Aol and ultimate transition into a developer platform. Kanvas is now a leading developer platform for creative tools serving tens of millions of monthly active users.
Founder and CEO
2010 - 2013
Founded Tracks to build the social experience graph. Raised seed round from General Catalyst, Boldstart and more. After many twists and turns, I pivoted the business to Kanvas after reaching 1 million users in a crowded market.
Co-Founder, Product
2008 - 2010
Co-founded Nearverse and led product for the first mobile p2p mesh networking platform for bandwidth sharing. Raised Series A and spearheaded development of our reference application for media sharing. The world was not ready for this!

Super fortunate to have the opportunity to join one of the leading NYC venture capital firms right out of b-school. I knew nothing but I learned so much so quick! RRE manages over $1BB and my focus areas were cleantech, consumer social, deep tech, fintech and mobile. Deals include Flipswap (mobile resell), GetGlue (social network for entertainment), M-Via (remittance), OLO (mobile ordering), Payfone (payments) and Tendril (smart grid).
Associate
2006 - 2007
Incredible time leveraging my experience building security systems to invest in deep tech startups at Chart Venture Partners, a newly formed venture capital firm focused on homeland security and defense technologies with commercial applications. Deals included Innovative Biosensors (pathogen detection), Maxion (laser), Remote Reality (omni-directional camera) and Twisted Pair (interoperability).
