    eMeter was an IoT startup that was acquired by Siemens AG. I led a team of product managers and data scientists who ideate, create and market software products for the smart electric grid. We enjoyed engaging with our customers and their data in equal measures. We built products that help our customers improve their top and/or bottom line by reducing theft, deferring capital investment, accurately locating faults and improving customer engagement. We worked closely with our engineers to ensure that nothing comes in their way of delivering awesome products and with sales to ensure that they are empowered to close deals.

    IoT-focused startup building data products for the Muni and Coop market--a niche segment of the utility market space that is typically ignored by the big public companies.

    I was one of the first product managers to be hired when Silver Spring was one of the valley's hottest startups in its heyday, pre-IPO. Besides traditional product management, I had a dizzying amount of other responsibilities as well- deployment management, proposal development, solution development and for a brief time, support.

    Working with a small team of very talented people, I was working on solving the problem of enabling recent Community college graduates identify careers that matched their skills and interests. We won the first place in LinkedIn's hackathon.

  • Product Management

    2007 - 2009

    My first gig as a product manager. This job was eye opening on many fronts- how data can save and improve lives and how to turn data into a compelling software product. I was fortunate to work with the who's-who in the world of Diabetes and with Engineers that were dedicated to improving patients' lives. I tried to make a little dent in the world by making a humble contribution towards that mission. By the time I left, I managed all the software products for their Diabetes division.
