Multiple product and platform initiatives at Zendesk: • Sunshine CRM: Lead the development of services and UX for Sunshine, Zendesk's developer-first CRM platform, as well as building and scaling out it's engineering org across SF and Melbourne (ref: zendesk.com/sunshine) • Abuse & Fraud: Built a cross-functional anti-abuse organization from the ground up, spanning software developers, analysts, and abuse OPS roles. Lead team in developing services, tools, data dashboards, machine learning models to protect against fraud; defined processes to handle abuse incidents. • Security Engineering • Zendesk's Developer APIs, including network tier services for authentication, analytics, and rate limiting. • Lead the effort to address technical and operational issues around our go-to-market for China.

API Management Platform: Authentication, Authorization, Rate limiting, and Analytics at scale. • Managed a geographically distributed engineering organization- dev., performance engineering and QA- and teams spanning platform engineering, front-end/UX, integration, and developer tools. • Development and operational responsibilities for services that handled over a billion API calls and a terabyte+ of data every day • Rolled out major changes to software infrastructure without downtime/customer disruptions- moved from proprietary technologies to big-data stack (Flume, Kafka, Cassandra, HDFS) for cost, scale, and deployment models. • Transitioned engineering teams from a small startup environment to a larger role within Intel, and more than doubled their size while preserving team culture.
