Special Projects (CEO)
2010 - 2013
With no previous experience in real estate, led the $60M development of the company's 6.5 acre downtown Las Vegas campus, an adaptive reuse of the former Las Vegas City Hall. The project's scope required adapting a 40-year-old municipal campus for 800 city employees, to house 2,000 creative workers for decades to come. The project's primary goal was to maximize the connectedness and social fabric of the employees while maintaining adaptability to change and evolve over time. This resulted in 1000 tiny decisions that often conflicted with the advice of architects, including elements like ensuring that lights and carpeting didn't encourage specific desk layouts, enabling teams to adapt over time. The project was completed on schedule and on budget, opening in September 2013. It earned a LEED Gold certification and was named the “#4 Most Impressive Office in the World” by Bloomberg. Oversaw all aspects of the project including: - Campus layout, materials selection, construction planning, base building/infrastructure development. - Budget management and reporting. - Contractor and partner selection including full RFP process. - Physical and information security. - Moving 1200 employees with zero company downtime.
